PBS Reno Hires Education Manager

 

Tammy Brocker: Education Manager of PBS Reno

RENO, NV (APR 28, 2023)PBS Reno has hired Tammy Brocker for the role of Education Manager. Brocker started Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

Brocker joins the expanding Education Services arm of PBS Reno that deploys a team of 40+ accredited facilitators to classrooms in seven counties in northern Nevada. She is a certified special education teacher with nine years of experience in the classroom in Washoe County School District. She holds a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Nevada and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

“I have always wanted to work at PBS Reno beyond my role as a facilitator,” said Brocker. “I love kids and education is my passion. In my new role as Education Manager, I now have the pleasure of elevating our Curiosity Classroom Workshops to reach even more local students. I’m so happy to get to experience the joys of PBS Reno full time!”

As Education Manager, Brocker will communicate with PBS Reno’s 40+ facilitators who deliver more than 4,295 Curiosity Classroom Workshops annually to classrooms in Washoe County, Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County, Humboldt County, Elko County, and White Pine County. Brocker will oversee the materials and supplies utilized by PBS Reno Education Services and will ensure each facilitator meets the needs of local students.
