PBS Reno Proudly Earns Eight
2024 International Communicator Awards 

 

 

RENO, NV (May 16, 2024) — PBS Reno is pleased to announce eight of its local productions from the past year have received International Communicator Awards including four Communicator Awards of Excellence in 2024.

“It’s so gratifying to receive recognition from our peers,” said Dave Santina, PBS Reno Director of Local Content. “Of course we don’t plan on receiving awards for the content we produce, but it is undeniably special to be recognized for quality work.”

The accolades include:

2024 Communicator Award of Excellence – Gold

2024 Communicator Award of Distinction – Silver

The Award of Excellence, the highest honor from The Communicator Awards, is given to those entrants whose ability to communicate positions them as the best in the field. The Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. 

“This recognition from the International Communicator Awards reflects the remarkable work that we create as a station,” said Megan Myers, PBS Reno Vice President of Content. “While the content team produces these great programs, we do not do it alone; it is truly a team effort that allows this station to continue to create award-earning local content. I am beyond appreciative and proud each and every day to get to work with such a group of amazingly talented, creative, and passionate individuals whose love for our mission shines through our great work. It is also because of the amazing community that supports this station that we can continue producing these local productions.”
