RENO, NV (Jan. 4, 2021) – PBS Reno President and CEO Kurt Mische has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber). Mische will embrace this new role in addition to his role as President and CEO of PBS Reno, a position he has held since 2009.
Mische will lead the board with planning, projects, and will work with The Chamber’s CEO, Ann Silver, to ensure the organization meets the needs and expectations of the business community.
“I am honored to represent PBS Reno and the northern Nevada business community in this role,” said Mische. “2021 will be a very important year for businesses and for our Chamber. We are fortunate to have an engaged board and dynamic CEO to lead us in the year ahead.”
The Chamber is the largest business organization in northern Nevada. The Chamber focuses on three pillars of value: advocacy on behalf of all businesses; information and education for members; and connectivity with members and consumers.
“I know Kurt will display the leadership and enthusiasm needed to encourage businesses and other organizations to join the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce,” said Ann Silver, CEO of The Chamber. “With one hundred years of dedication to commerce in our community, Kurt Mische will provide more evidence of the Chamber’s sustainability and continued relevance.”
Mische will serve a one-year term, which will end on December 31, 2021.
