PBS Reno Hires 
Digital Marketing Assistant, Broadcast Content Operator

RENO, NV (March 8, 2024)PBS Reno has hired Lynn Lazaro for the role of Digital Marketing Assistant and Jake Hardison for the role of Broadcast Content Operator. Both staff started their roles in February 2024.

Lazaro earned their Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Reynolds School of Journalism at University of Nevada, Reno. Lazaro most recently served as a Digital Content Producer for KTVN 2 News Nevada, the CBS affiliate based in Reno, NV. Additionally, they bring experience in copywriting, podcast production, and reporting from The Reno News & Review, the Renoites Podcast, and the Estipona Group. In their new role, Lazaro will collaborate with fellow Content Creators to develop engaging content on PBS Reno’s website and social media platforms.

“Joining the PBS Reno team has been such a heartwarming experience; from the warm welcome to the deep dive into our amazing programs for viewers of all ages,” said Lazaro. “I’m so grateful and excited to be here, and I can’t wait to share the amazing things we do with our community as a digital marketing assistant.”

“I'm excited for Lynn to join the team and elevate our library of digital content,” said Christina Le, PBS Reno Manager of Creative Services. “Lynn has a strong desire to develop their skills and this enthusiasm is exactly what we expect as we continue to produce content for a variety of audiences.”

Hardison earned his Bachelor of Science in Television, Film, and New Media from San Diego State University. Hardison comes to PBS Reno on a part-time basis; he currently serves as Audio/Visual Facilities Technician at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Additionally, he brings experience in marketing, copywriting, video production, livestreaming, and radio broadcasting from Clearly Tahoe, St. Paul’s UMC Coronado, KOCT, KKSM, and KSON. Hardison will join the team of Broadcast Content Operators who collaborate with PBS Reno programmers and other programmers across the nation to ensure seamless broadcast signals on PBS Reno’s three channels (5.1, 5.2, and 5.3).

“We are excited to have Jake join PBS Reno as a Broadcast Content Operator,” said David Medow, PBS Reno Broadcast Content Supervisor. “He will be a great addition to our Engineering team as we continue to Entertain Your Curiosity.”
