PBS Reno Hires Associate Content Creator
RENO, NV (DEC 2, 2022) – PBS Reno has hired Sandy Peña for the role of Associate Content Creator. Peña started with PBS Reno on November 14, 2022.
Peña brings a variety of experience in broadcast television and social media management to PBS Reno.
At KRNV News 4 and KRXI FOX 11 in Reno, Peña wrote news stories for the stations’ websites, and contributed to the success of exceeding daily target goals for the stations’ social media platforms. At Northern Nevada Business Weekly, Peña managed social media and promotional content to grow online platforms, and co-produced Breakfast and Business, the monthly networking event for business owners and leaders in northern Nevada.
“I’m so lucky to be a part of the PBS Reno family,” Peña said. “It’s an incredible feeling to work for a station that inspires creativity and a lifetime of learning. I’m joining an amazing team, and I’m confident my digital media skills will only continue to grow during my time here.”
As PBS Reno Associate Content Creator, Peña will manage the station’s daily on-air promotions that highlight primetime programming and award-earning local productions. She will work closely with PBS Reno programmers to ensure viewers are kept up-to-date with broadcast times, station events, and more.
“We are so pleased to have Sandy join us as Associate Content Creator,” said Barbara Harmon, PBS Reno Director of Programming. “She has already shown to be a great addition to our team as we continue to Entertain Your Curiosity throughout the region.”
