RENO, NV (FEB 18, 2026) – PBS Reno announced today that registration is open for the Spring 2026 Family Estate Planning Series, a free seven-week course of 90-minute sessions that explain all aspects of estate planning designed to help residents take charge of life planning and estate matters.

The classes will be held each Wednesday starting March 18 through April 29 at the Sierra View Library in the Reno Town Mall located at 4001 S. Virginia Street.

Participants may attend one of two sessions: 10:30am – 12pm or 1:30pm – 3pm.

Each week offers an estate planning attorney or professional who will discuss a variety of topics including basic estate planning: wills, probate, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care directives, DNRs, ethical wills, estate planning for digital assets, and long-term care planning.

“Since 2010, we have offered this series in cooperation with the Community Foundation, a group of not-for-profit organizations, and this area’s leading estate planning attorneys and professionals,” said Kurt Mische, PBS Reno President & CEO. “Over 3,100 people have attended since that time and the demand for this information continues to be high. This is another important community service that PBS Reno is proud to provide.”

Participants will not be solicited for donations, and participant information is kept confidential. Participants will receive a full binder of reference and planning materials.

“Estate planning transforms a family’s values and assets into a lasting legacy,” said Eaton Dunkelberger, President & CEO of Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. “We appreciate the opportunity to help families thoughtfully incorporate charitable giving into their legacy planning through this program.”
