PBS Reno Earns 2026 Best Place for Working Parents® Designation
RENO, NV (JAN 26, 2026) – PBS Reno is honored to receive a 2026 Best Place for Working Parents® designation.
“This recognition is a testament to PBS Reno’s commitment to our team by providing the right kind of work environment that supports and encourages our working parents and makes us an outstanding place to work,” said Kurt Mische, PBS Reno President & CEO.
Curiosity Classroom workshops and other PBS Reno services are rooted in early education, trusted children’s programming, and beloved PBS KIDS characters including Daniel Tiger, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and many more. The resulting work environment is a natural fit for many parents and grandparents who work full time for PBS Reno, which has served the communities of northern and central Nevada and northeastern California for more than 42 years. Family first is the thread that weaves through each employee’s professional and personal lives, allowing staff to nurture the needs of their families while accomplishing tasks at PBS Reno.
“PBS Reno’s welcoming, family-friendly culture demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting working parents across the city,” said Sadie Funk, National Director at The Best Place for Working Parents®. “We are proud to recognize PBS Reno for earning The Best Place for Working Parents® designation for the fourth consecutive year.”
