PBS Reno Named Best Places to Work Finalist
Finalists will be honored during the Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work Gala in May 2026
RENO, NV (MAY 7, 2026) – PBS Reno is honored to be named a finalist for the 2026 Best Places to Work Award by the Society for Human Resource Management Northern Nevada (SHRMNN) in the Small Business Size Category.
“We are so pleased to be recognized for what we are—a great place to work!” said Kurt Mische, PBS Reno President & CEO. “Part of our educational mission is to set a good example for other organizations to follow, all of which strengthen our community’s workforces.”
PBS Reno and more than 30 other finalists will be celebrated during the 19th annual Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work Awards Gala on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. SHRMNN will honor the region’s workplace excellence and reveal the winners of the following categories: Large Business Size, Medium Business Size, Small Business Size, Micro Business Size, and Hall of Fame.
PBS Reno provides numerous family-focused services including Curiosity Classroom workshops, trusted children’s programming, and award-earning local and national productions that entertain, delight, and inspire audiences across a variety of platforms. PBS Reno is family-focused behind the scenes as well; staff are supported throughout the workday and are encouraged to maintain a healthy life-work balance.

The Award of Excellence, the highest honor from The Communicator Awards, is given to those entrants whose ability to communicate positions them as the best in the field. The Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
