RENO, NV (OCT 27, 2025) –PBS Reno is pleased to welcome Connie Wray to the role of Development Officer. Wray started her new role on October 20, 2025.

Having worked in the sphere of non-profit work, podcast production, and event hosting, for over 20 years, Wray brings her extensive skills in public relations, fundraising, and media creation across both traditional and digital mediums to PBS Reno. During her 24-year career in radio broadcasting, Wray produced eight podcasts including 15ish with Jaime and Connie Podcast & Radio Show and was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2012. She holds the position as master of ceremonies in four separate events: City of Reno Veterans Day Parade, Sierra Arts Foundation Brew HaHa, Nevada Hospital Association luncheon, and Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement. Wray has also produced livestreams for nonprofit events, in which she has been a pivotal asset in attracting public recognition and outreach.

“Throughout my career, I have worked to connect people through stories that uplift and inspire, and it feels like every path has led me to this moment,” said Wray. “To join PBS Reno, where education, storytelling, and community come together, is a lifelong dream fulfilled. Public media has never been more important — offering trust, truth, and connection at a time when our world needs it most. I’m beyond grateful and excited to bring my talent and passion to help carry this mission forward.” Wray has been involved with PBS Reno for years, donating her time during major fundraising productions including quarterly membership drives and the PBS Reno Spotlight Awards & Auction.

In her role as a PBS Reno Development Officer, Wray is responsible for developing new and building on existing relationships to expand PBS Reno’s funding. She will work with members who make up PBS Reno’s Silver Circle, a growing collective of donors who contribute $1,200 or more to the station annually.

“Connie is a trusted voice in our region and a true champion for northern Nevada,” said Emma Glenn, PBS Reno Vice President of Development. “Her ability to build relationships and inspire others through authentic storytelling makes her an incredible asset to our team. We are so excited to welcome her to PBS Reno.”
