RENO, NV (November 28, 2023) — The global generosity movement GivingTuesday was established in 2012 as a day for everyone to do something good in their community; from acts of kindness to financial support of nonprofits. In 2022, 37 million adults in the U.S. participated in GivingTuesday in some way, a 6% increase from 2021, contributing much-needed and critical support to causes, communities, and nonprofit organizations as they kick off the giving season this year in the face of substantial economic challenges and continued volatility.

PBS Reno is a not-for-profit, community-owned 501(c)(3) public television station. Its services on and off the air are made possible by the communities it serves every day. The output of its services is reflective of the financial support it receives from members of PBS Reno. As of 2022, financial support from individuals, community groups, companies, and grants amounted to 82% of PBS Reno’s operating budget.

PBS Reno channels are also available on cable, satellite services, and via livestream on YouTube TV. PBS Reno provides PBS national programming and award-earning, locally-produced content, with many local segments posted weekly to PBS Reno’s YouTube Channel.
