PBS Reno Podcast Refugee’s Daughter
Earns Bronze Signal Award
RENO, NV (NOVEMBER 22, 2024) — Refugee’s Daughter, the first podcast produced by PBS Reno, has earned a 2024 Bronze Signal Award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category.
PBS Reno debuted Refugee’s Daughter in 2023. Hosted by Christina Le, Refugee’s Daughter explores Le’s memories and experiences growing up as a Chinese Vietnamese American. Refugee’s Daughter features numerous guests who reflect on their own Chinese heritage and what it means to them. Refugee’s Daughter is about bringing people together through understanding and empathy; Le hopes these conversations around heritage and identity will help create space for everyone to share more stories
“Being recognized with a Signal Award for Refugee's Daughter is an incredible honor that reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved,” said Le. “This recognition not only validates the effort put into creating meaningful content but also inspires me to continue producing impactful work. I am truly grateful for the support of our listeners and the opportunity to share valuable stories through this podcast.”
