PBS Reno Hires Building Maintenance Technician

Casey Melzo, Building Maintenance Technician of PBS Reno

RENO, NV (February 20, 2024) — PBS Reno is pleased to have hired Casey Melzo for the role of Building Maintenance Technician. Melzo joined the team on February 5, 2024.

Until recently, Melzo was employed as co-owner and operator of B’s Handyman. He brings several years of experience in building maintenance and repair to PBS Reno, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction, project costs, and more.

“I am profoundly grateful to be starting my career with the PBS Reno team,” said Melzo. “I’ve already learned so much about broadcasting and engineering in the first week. I’m looking forward to all the work we will accomplish together as a station.”

Melzo joins the PBS Reno Engineering team whose members ensure the PBS Reno studio located at 1670 N.Virginia Street operates and delivers quality television to more than 288,000 monthly viewers and thousands of Curiosity Classroom Workshops to students across the region.

“Casey comes to us ready to keep our building in top shape, but he is also willing and ready to learn the broadcast side of our operation,” said Bryan Carr, PBS Reno Vice President of Technology. “He has been a fine addition to this department.”
