PBS Reno Vice President of Content Inducted into
Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame
RENO, NV (SEP 10, 2024) — On September 7, 2024, PBS Reno Vice President of Content Megan Myers was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame during its 28th annual Hall of Fame Gala at Four Seasons Las Vegas.
"We're thrilled that Megan Myers is getting inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame,” said Mitch Fox, Nevada Broadcasters Association President & CEO. “She joins an illustrious group of broadcasters who have demonstrated a lifelong passion for our industry, exemplified in a commitment to provide viewers and listeners with content that informs, inspires and entertains.”
A person is eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame after serving 20 years in the broadcasting industry, with five of those years taking place in Nevada. The Hall of Fame showcases dedication to broadcasting, with each name representing a unique talent, a special skill, and a passion for the industry.
“I am honored to join a number of my colleagues who have been inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame,” said Myers. “Through my work, I have been able to nurture my passion of providing quality programming, award-earning local productions, and educational content and services to our wonderful community. I love the work we do at PBS Reno and I am so appreciative of every opportunity this station has given to me in my career.”
Myers has been with PBS Reno for 21 years, holding various roles such as Manager of Education, Senior Producer, and Director of Content Strategy and On-Air Marketing. Since 2018, Myers has led the production team as Vice President of Content. In this capacity, she oversees the station’s marketing effects and the team that creates and produces ARTEFFECTS, Wild Nevada , and other award-earning local programs. Myers holds a BA in Communication and Marketing from California State University, San Marcos, and an MA in Journalism from the University of Nevada where she also served as an adjunct professor.
