PBS Reno Hires Membership Outreach Coordinator
and Administrative Assistant
RENO, NV (AUG 7, 2025) – PBS Reno is pleased to welcome Rachel Luni to the role of Membership Outreach Coordinator and Madeline DeLuna to the role of Administrative Assistant.
Luni started her new role on July 15, 2025. As Membership Outreach Coordinator, Luni will seek out and coordinate membership outreach opportunities; engage with potential and existing donors through tabling events; and assist with station event planning including fundraising drives, membership acquisition, the Spotlight Awards & Auction, Be My Neighbor Day, and the PBS Reno KIDS Club.
“After being a community partner with PBS Reno, I am excited to now be a part of the PBS Reno Development team, as the Membership Outreach Coordinator,” said Luni. “I highly value working with our local community members and I am looking forward to helping support one of our most valuable public services on a daily basis. I cannot wait to bring my work experience, and the values PBS programming taught me as a kid, to my new efforts for our team and community.”
As a museologist, Luni most recently served as a Collections Archivist with Wilbur D. May Museum in Reno. Before earning her Master of Arts and her Library and Information Science with a Certificate in Archival Studies from the University of Arizona, Luni graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in history and minoring in museum studies. With a background in museums, archival studies, and marketing, Luni enjoys combining all three to make local history accessible and relatable for her community. With this background, Luni hopes to continue connecting with the PBS Reno community and raising awareness on the importance of public broadcasting.
“We are thrilled to have Rachel join our Membership team,” said Barbara Winter, PBS Reno Director of Membership. “She brings the energy and drive we were seeking in a Membership Outreach Coordinator. Rachel is thoughtful, passionate, and committed to our mission. I can confidently say that our PBS Reno community members are in great hands with every representative on our team, especially now with Rachel’s addition.”
DeLuna started her new role on June 30, 2025 – but has been part of the PBS Reno family for years. DeLuna came to PBS Reno in May 2022 as an Education Intern, where she incorporated diverse lesson plans into Curiosity Classrooms workshops for students in nine school districts in the region. DeLuna also participated in dozens of tabling events, which allowed her to educate attendees on the services provided by PBS Reno. She graduated from the University of Nevada in May 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
“I am deeply honored to officially join the PBS Reno team and step into my role as Administrative Assistant,” said DeLuna. “This opportunity marks an exciting chapter in my professional journey, and I am truly grateful to be part of an organization so dedicated to community impact. I look forward to learning and growing alongside a team of inspiring individuals whose support and guidance I greatly value. My passion for lifelong learning is matched only by my love for this incredible community, and I’m thankful for the chance to contribute in a meaningful way. I believe in the power of connection, and I am excited to help foster relationships that strengthen both PBS Reno and the community we serve.”
As Administrative Assistant, DeLuna will welcome visitors to PBS Reno including donors, volunteers, and community partners. DeLuna will also facilitate numerous station meetings among several departments and ensure agendas are detailed, current, and tailored toward the needs of each department.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mady to the team full-time,” said Brynne Kenney, PBS Reno Vice President of Administration. “As a recent graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and a long-time intern with PBS Reno, this is a natural next step in her career. We are confident she will continue to bring her positive energy and enthusiasm to her new role.”
