RENO, NV (APR 4, 2025) — PBS Reno understands its audience loves rich and thoughtful storytelling, sometimes with a twist of discovery! That’s why PBS Reno is inviting the community to attend What’s It Worth? PBS Reno Antique Valuation Day on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the California Building at Idlewild Park in Reno.

Throughout the day, dozens of treasures will be verbally evaluated by experts from AnnexAuctions by Witherell. A $60 contribution to PBS Reno yields one item valuated; a $120 contribution yields two items. Suggested items include fine art, jewelry, coins, and collectibles. This is the perfect way to discover: What’s It Worth?

With a qualifying financial contribution to PBS Reno, the public can sign up during one of the following times: 9:30am – 11am, 11am – 12:30pm, and 1:30pm – 3pm. People can sign up for their preferred time at pbsreno.org/donate and can call 775.600.0548 for more information.

“There’s something magical about uncovering the story behind a cherished item—and even better when that discovery supports a great cause,” said Emma Glenn, PBS Reno Vice President of Development. “PBS Reno Antique Valuation Day invites our community to explore the mystery and meaning behind their treasures, all while fueling the local programs and classroom experiences that make PBS Reno so special.”

This exciting inaugural event is a fundraiser for PBS Reno and its award-earning local productions including Wild Nevada and ARTEFFECTS. The money raised will also strengthen PBS Reno’s Curiosity Classroom workshop program, which reaches 135,000+ students in nine school districts in northern and central Nevada and northeastern California each school year.
