RENO, NV (May 1, 2025) — What does PBS Reno mean to you, your family, friends, and community? Whether it’s Wild Nevada, ARTEFFECTS, and other award-earning local programming; educational outreach in local classrooms, or indulging in PBS favorites like Finding Your Roots, Masterpiece, Nature, or Antiques Roadshow, today is your chance to join others and show your support for PBS Reno during Public Media Giving Days.
“Public media is at a pivotal moment; across the country, stations like ours are navigating real challenges—rising costs, shifting landscapes, and threats to federal funding,” said Emma Glenn, PBS Reno Vice President of Development. “Here at PBS Reno, we are continually humbled by the generosity of our viewers. Your support keeps us strong, local, and deeply connected to the community. During Public Media Giving Days, we invite you to stand with us and help ensure this vital service continues to thrive for generations to come.
The third annual Public Media Giving Days are taking place May 1 and 2, 2025. You are invited to share what public media means to you in several ways to support PBS Reno and other entities in the public media system. First, make a financial contribution in any amount by calling/texting 775.600.0550 or by visiting pbsreno.org/donate. Next, share a message on social media with the hashtag #PublicMediaGives. Financial contributions from the community make up 83% of PBS Reno’s annual operating budget, which is why gifts of support from individuals in PBS Reno’s viewing area in northern Nevada and northeastern California are so important in keeping PBS Reno on the air with meaningful programming for everyone to enjoy.

PBS Reno provides PBS national programming and award-earning, locally-produced content, with many local segments posted weekly to PBS Reno’s YouTube Channel.
