STEM — STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. It represents an interdisciplinary and integrated approach to gathering hands-on experience and applying “real-world” knowledge. People who work in STEM fields use knowledge in science, engineering, technology, or math to understand the world around us and to solve problems.
Biomechanics — The study of biological systems, particularly their structure and function using methods derived from mechanics.
Radiology — Branch of medicine using radiation for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Technician — A person skilled in a specific task.
Pediatric — The branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
Orthopedic — The branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system.
Congenital anomaly — Also called birth defects, these conditions develop prenatally and may be identified before or at birth, or later in life.
Astigmatism — A common imperfection in the curvature of the eye that causes blurred distance and near vision.
